Syllabus for Week of February 17

Monday

• No classes for Presidents Day.
• HW: Reading your chosen novel independently. Also, read chapter four for class on Wednesday.

Tuesday

• No classes today on account of the district wide institute day. 
• HW: Reading your chosen novel independently.

Wednesday

• A brief lecture on chapter four, and then we will start listening to chapter five in class. 
• HW: Finish reading chapter six of IM. Remember to read my notes/questions prior to reading the chapter, so that you can annotate for those ideas. Then, after reading, you should review these same notes to check for understanding. 

Thursday

• Finishing our listening to chapter five. And then a short lecture on chapter six of the novel. Review of annotated bibliography notes that were distributed in the library last Friday. 
• HW: Reading chapter seven of IM. 

Friday

• Meeting in the Library. Today you will begin building an annotated bibliography, entering your text, two of the reviews you read on the novel, and two additional sources on the novel's historic setting and/or themes.
• HW: Reading your chosen novel independently.
