Annotation for Gatsby

I want you to read FSF's The Great Gatsby using the same annotation technique that we've practiced all year. However, with this novel, I am not going to provide you with pre-reading questions and notes. Rather, I want you to a) circle vocabulary, b) write questions, and c) make thematic questions for homework. Then, in small groups during class, you will participate in discussions using my notes to check your annotation technique for proficiency.

So you will still be getting detailed questions and notes for each chapter. But I want you to practice annotation without that pre-reading guidance. The picture below are the annotation instructions for the entire novel. So in an important way, you're not "flying-blind" entirely, so to speak. As always, please drop in my office with specific questions about the reading. I expect to see you, so please, come in and ask!
