Lecture Notes on Gatsby

Unlike our prior novels, I am inverting our practices for annotation. You have the general notes for what to annotate for in your book, and you should still annotate for these ideas as you read. In class, however, in your assigned small group, you will receive and review lecture notes on each of chapter of The Great Gatsby, one chapter per day. Each day a different person will lead the small-group discussion for chapters 1-6.

I will NOT post these lecture notes in advance, nor will I publish them on the web. They are only for post-reading, and only to be used for in-class discussion. Should you miss a class, you should obtain a hard-copy of these post-reading lecture notes from me in room 330.
