Monday

• No school for Labor Day.

Tuesday

• Continuing with "Hero Journey" portion of the documentary, The Power of Myth.
• Skim through The Alchemist, looking for examples of Campbell's hero journey stages within Santiago's experience. Note: these stages are NOT chronological, nor are they definitive. 

Wednesday 

• Finishing "Hero Journey" portion of the documentary, The Power of Myth.
• Introduction to College essay. Print and read the handout for class on Friday.

Thursday

• No school or homework for Rosh Hashana.

Friday

• Small group work relative to the Santiago's hero journey. 
• In class, we will define examples of Campbell's "stages" from Cohelo's parable.
• HW: Post your college essay prompt as a comment to the essay post. Read handout on "Departure." Finish hero journey notes on Santiago.
