In our reading last night (the introduction to Power of Myth), you noted several definitions of myth(ology):

Myth is a metaphor for what lies behind the visible world;
The theme of classical mythology is the grave and constant human suffering;
Myth is the study of human thoughts and actions thru written texts;
Myth is an interior roadmap of experience;
Mythology calls us to a deeper awareness of the very act of living itself;
Myths are symbolic stories for understanding the human condition;
Myth is the song of the universe, and the music of the spheres.
