Syllabus for 2/25 through 3/1

IN WHAT WAY IS ACHILLES A CONFLICTED hero? In many ways, he is obviously divided: mortal and divine, friend and enemy, male and female. But in other, less obvious ways, he expresses conflict. How do we see Achilles as a hero? In what ways does he struggle, and howso? At the end of this week, we will get into Jungian psychology in more depth, starting our reading of the Stevens text.
