The Final
Your final is at 10 am on Thursday, January 24 in computer lab 124. Students will have access to computers for the writing of the final essay.
For the test, students will read and annotate a short story. Subsequently, they will write an essay about the story, using Joseph Campbell’s hero journey as a lens for that analysis.
For the essay, students should pre-write what they think, and why they think it. Using argumentative structure and everything we’ve studies so far this semester, students will write an in-class essay.
The annotated story, pre-writing, and the printed essay will be collected at the end of the testing time. Students with extended time will finish the essay in the extended time room, and should have a laptop/tablet with them in order to finish working on their essay via google docs.
A good site for reviewing Campbell’s hero journey is here.
